I was born in Fort Pierce Memorial Hospital, attended Parkview Baptist Preschool, St. Andrew's Elementary, White City Elementary, Lincoln Park Middle School, Lincoln Park Academy, graduated from Fort Pierce Westwood High School, then received my A.A. in Accounting/Business Admin from Indian River Community College. In 1992 I moved to Gainesville, FL to attend the University of Florida's Fisher School of Accounting, where I was a rower and coach for the U of F Rowing and Crew Team, and worked for a very successful restauranteur. In the Fall of 1996 I moved to Chicago and entered Columbia College's Film school. I worked on several short films that received acclaim, and wrote a screenplay or two. I also worked part-time in the Chicago Board of Trade, keeping the books for the Facilities Department of the Swiss-Warburg Perot company. I learned a great deal in the Windy City, but I missed the Sunshine State, so... I returned to Gainesville, FL in 1997. I managed Maude's Coffee Shop, serving lattes to the artists, actors, and activists until 1999 when I joined the U.S. Army. During my time in the military I met some of the greatest friends a person could ever have and was afforded an education that no college in the world can offer. In 2004 I was honorably discharged, time served, and came home to SLC, just in time for the hurricanes. I finished up an Arts & Humanities degree at FAU, worked in the building/design industry, delivered pizza, and taught Intensive Reading at Fort Pierce Central. I've been fortunate enough, by design, to have varied experience in several fields... Vote Forsman. |
